Smartlands Wallet
At the end of April, 2018 Smartlands announced a new version of the Stellar-based Smartlands Wallet. Keeping accurately to the technical roadmap the team of Smartlands have reached a milestone in its mission and focused on creating a powerful and intuitive interface for trading on Stellar Decentralized Exchange. The key features of the wallet are usability, security, functionality, and the fastest transaction speed on the market to date.
Use cases
The product website was updated with the use cases. In such a way the team laid the basis of the educational approach for its community. To provide a better understanding of how tokenization works on the Smartland Platform a couple of short stories were provided on the team’s Medium blog. A 5-minute to read story is telling what we do to tokenize real estate. The real estate tokenization includes converting rights to the property into digital tokens. The main advantage and the most important feature of asset-backed tokens (ABT) for investors is an unbreakable connection of tokens and real estate.
The next short story is explaining a mechanism of the private shares tokenization. Comparing securitization and tokenization shows that the blockchain creates one main information flow instead of multiple data coming from different entities. Conference participation
Victor Yermak, Director of Business Development at Smartlands Platform and CEO of Skyglyph, took part in the Conference with a speech of “Application of drones for crop monitoring and loss adjustment. Experience in CEE countries”. He highlighted an innovative approach of the drone-based image processing in crop insurance and described the advantages of insurance for small farmers and shared an idea of insurance uberization – leveraging blockchain, Internet of Things and machine learning technologies.
The 4th International Conference on Agricultural Insurance, Reinsurance and Brokerage took place in Belgrade, Serbia on April 16-18th. Insurance is an integral part of assets tokenization, which is why we keep track of the latest developments in the industry of insurance.
Team
Smartland’s team is growing. A new front-end developer Andrii Petryk is an expert in the following areas – JavaScript, especially React/Redux, jQuery/jQueryUI. He has an experience in creating on Python/Django and front-end development on React/Redux. Another newcomer is Mark Kotov – a quality assurance and scrum-master manager. He has a rich experience in general software testing – command line, GUI, web application, web services testing. His strong point is good skills in the product development management. He likes camping and outdoor recreation. Welcome guys!

Short-term plans
As it was mentioned in the February and March Smartlands news letters, the team cooperates with large international legal firms to develop the framework. The legal framework roadmap will be announced within a month.
The further development of Smartlands Wallet will be continued to make it the best client to trade on Stellar decentralized exchange.
